What is Disciplined Agile?
Disciplined Agile is a hybrid approach or a context-sensitive approach that can be applied at the enterprise level, and not limited to the team for agility. It considers various possible challenges that organizations might be working with i.e. the organization’s business model.It also provides a collection of options and good ideas which one can select from and by that one can create their context-sensitive enterprise-level ways of working framework.
Who should do DASM certification?
If you are from a Project management background and new in exploring Agile-based working, DASM certification is a good starting point for you. DASM online live certification training session gives you insights on doing projects using an Agile development approach.
What are the requirements for a DASM virtual live training session?
There is no specific requirement for attending this DASM online certification training. Disciplined Agile Scrum Master is an introductory training and certification on Agile and Lean fundamentals. However, having the working experience of project management can be helpful.
How is the DASM live virtual training session different from PMI-ACP?
PMI-ACP course is for professionals who have experience in using Agile approaches. The exam rigour of PMI-ACP is higher than DASM. Doing a DASM certification course helps you in setting yourself on the path of PMI-ACP if you wish to do it later.
Is the DASM exam/certification cost included in training cost?
Yes, the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master program gives you complimentary access to one attempt to give the exam.
What will be the renewal process, cost, duration and process, if one earns DASM and has DASSM both. Will renewing DASM will renew DASSM also?
The renewal cycles for both DASM and DASSM are 1 year and the PDU requirements for both are 7. Renewal for DA certification is $50 per year. However, please also note that PMI’s membership renewal fee is different and separate than the certification renewal fee.
How much does DASM training certification cost?
How many questions will be there in the DASM exam?
DASM exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions.
What will be the DASM exam timebox?
The candidate will get a maximum of 90 minutes to complete the DASM exam.
What is the passing score for the DASM exam?
PMI doesn’t share the passing score. My personal experience suggests that You need to score 70% (i.e., 35 marks) out of 50 marks.
How is the DASM certification course different from the CSM certification training session?
DASM certification training teaches you generic Agile with the help of examples of the various flavours of Agile like Scrum, Lean, Kanban and SAFe. It also spends a good time in developing an understanding of Disciplined Agile. If you are working in project management and want to develop an understanding of Agile, doing DASM is a good idea. However, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) gives you insights on how scrum works from the perspective of scrum master. If you are working in Scrum then doing CSM as your first formal education of Agile is a good idea.
How many attempts does one get with the DASM certification training session?
You will get 3 exam attempts within 30 days i.e. free exam retakes for a limited time. If the candidate fails the exam 3 times, then they will need to retake the course.
Difference between DASM & DASSM?
DASM is an introductory program whereas DASSM is an advanced program. Te participants of DASM are expected to have more than two years of landing role experience in agile-based approach, DASSM explores the advanced topic of enabling business Agility
Which is the DASM Certification Training in New Zealand?
The only training that is provided on DASM® is by PM training school (www.pmtrainingschool.com). They are Auckland Based and provide training throughout New Zeland.
Can I directly give the exam for DASM without attending the training?
No, it is mandatory to take PMI’s Approved DASM training to qualify for the exam.
