PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)®

Schedules are a fundamental element of project management yet half of all projects — 50 percent — are not completed within the initially scheduled timeframe according to our 2015 Pulse of the Profession® report.

Projects and teams today are increasingly global and virtual, and project schedules are key to managing activities, resources, dependencies and ultimately, project outcomes. The PMI-SP will recognize your knowledge and skill to drive the improved management of project schedules.

Who should do PMI-SP Certification

  • This course is intended for individuals who possess an active PMP certification, extensive scheduling experience and are seeking the PMI-SP certification. This course, along with prior PMP education hours, satisfies all the educational requirements. While the training is meant to prepare professionals to take and pass their PMI-SP certification exam, it can be taken by anyone who desires further knowledge in the management of uncertainty within projects.

  • The PMI-SP certification recognizes an individual’s expertise within project teams, highlighting their value to the project management profession. This role entails specialized proficiency in project schedule development and maintenance, surpassing the skills of a general practitioner, while still maintaining a foundational level of competence in all project management areas.

  • Secondary degree
  • 40 months of project scheduling experience within the last 5 years
  • 40 hours of project scheduling education

  • 24 months of project scheduling experience within the last 5 years
